Heather Hanson's Diary 9-9-09
629-9-09 I'm Back
Sorry it's been a bit since I wrote. I just started my new job two weeks ago and now am in my regular schedule so I am now able to work around things better and get back into a regular routine. I haven't even worked out since I started this job, mainly due to being exhausted when I get home or when I get up in the morning. I was actually tempted to go to bed as soon as I got home and that was at 5:30pm. I had to almost prop my eye lids open with toothpicks just to stay awake until ten so i could sleep all through the night and wake at six. It's strange that when you get older your brain requires less sleep that when you were in high school. Back then I was able to sleep in until 12 in the afternoon and sometimes longer until my mom would get upset and yell at me to get up. Nowadays my brain wakes me immediately after eight hours.
The job that I got was one of the jobs that I got mixed up when I was applying to almost everything but the local strip club. I'm working in a call center for a major hotel chain which so far is not a bad job. i get a good deal on rooms and my friends and family get a deal too. The center also takes calls for a ticket company too so I get to look at who is coming when and where. I unfortunately don't get a deal with them but the price for the room stay is good enough that it covers for the other. The funny, but strange part, of this is that my trainer that i had is 31yrs old and loves Miley Cyrus and Hannah Montana. She has no kids, but has almost everything that has to do with Hannah Montana in her office and at her home. She even talked about making her husband watch the movie over and over and made him go to a concert of another teeny bopper kid musician like Miley Cyrus. The last day of training she was wearing a Hannah Montana necklace and she always carries a Hannah Montana messenger bag wherever she goes. All I could think the entire time is 'O.K'.
Otherwise the training was good and the job so far is good too. It's confusing right now, but that's expected at a new job until you get into your groove and then it becomes second nature, then you start doing your job in your sleep. I had two jobs that got so repetitive after a while that I was doing them in my sleep. I would wake up exhausted because I would be dreaming of work and that was one of the things that made me so tired. When you start doing that you know its time to stop that job. Hopefully this job won't get repetitive! Cheers!
